Procedure for Registering a Copyright

To begin this process, you must obtain your file opening kit by clicking on the link for this purpose at the bottom of this page. This kit, free and without obligation on your part, includes our "Confidential Disclosure Form" accompanied by a strict confidentiality agreement signed by Daniel Paquette, President of Inventarium.

As soon as we receive your confidential disclosure form duly completed, we will open your file and compile the documents necessary to register a copyright with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). Once registered, your work is protected throughout its development, at the international level and for up to 50 years after one’s death.

$220 + taxes (File opening fees included)
Regular delay: 3 to 5 weeks (+ $40 for a delay reduced to less than 10 working days)

For a complete description of each step please read our « Practical Guide for inventors ».

Your kit for the registering of a Copyright will be sent to you today via email
