REGISTERING A COPYRIGHT
As soon as we receive your confidential disclosure form duly completed, we will open your file and compile the documents necessary to register a copyright with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). Once registered, your work is protected throughout its development, at the international level and for up to 50 years after one’s death.
Cost: $260 + taxes
This includes registration of the copyright, the tax required by the patent offices as well as the follow-up of your file.
Are you ready to take these steps?
In order to register a copyright for your work, you must order our file opening kit which includes among several documents our Confidential Disclosure form and a pre-signed Confidentiality Agreement. You will also find an envelope with a Proof of Priority form which allows you to establish a priority date on the documents comprising your work.
